Product Introduction
QuickBlue rapid gel staining solution is an environmentally friendly gel staining solution that can stain protein bands in gels and can replace the conventional Coomassie brilliant Blue staining solution.
1. No gel fixation or decolorization is required, saving time and being simple.
2. It does not contain substances such as methanol and acetic acid that are harmful to the body and have a pungent smell.
3. No need to operate in a fume hood;
4. It can completely replace the conventional Coomassim brilliant blue staining solution.
Workflow
Take out the gel from the electrophoresis tank and place it in the gel staining container.
2. Add the staining solution until it covers the gel, and then stain on a shaker.
3. Just store the gel that has been stained with bands in water.
Note: For gel staining experiments in ordinary laboratories where the sensitivity requirement is not extremely high, it is generally advisable to stain for 10 to 20 minutes (which can produce bands for proteins with a content of over 100ng), with a low background and no need for decolorization. Direct observation or photography is required.
For gel staining experiments with extremely high sensitivity requirements, it is generally advisable to stain for 1 to 2 hours (which can produce bands with a protein content of 10ng), with a low background and no need for decolorization, allowing for direct observation or photography.
Generally, after 2 hours of staining, the protein bands will not deepen further, while the background will continue to deepen. Therefore, it is generally recommended that the staining should not exceed 2 hours.
If you have high requirements for the gel background, you can soak the protein gel in water and then place it on a shaker for 2 hours, changing the water 4 times during this period. This can quickly remove the background color. You can also soak it in water overnight to make the gel background completely transparent.
